Good Evening Pride Members! Looking forward to being back with you this week! Schedule will be as usual:
Monday – Rehearsal after school 2-2:55
Tuesday – Rehearsal after school 2-2:55
Wednesday – We will NOT play Symphonic band music. We will go outside and be doing drill for Mvmt. 2.
Jazz Band will Take place after school from 2:20-3:30pm. This is a slightly shorter rehearsal for this week only!
Thursday – After School Rehearsal 5-7:30pm
Friday – KHS @ Winter Haven. Call Time @ 5pm

Get your rest, do your homework and show up for Practice! We need all hands on deck and I’m not going to be tolerating the “Foolishness” that went on last week while I was out sick.

Schedule for the week of 8/27-31 & Announcements:

Monday – Rehearsal after school 2-2:55pm and Low Brass/Winds Sectional 2:55-3:20pm.

Tuesday – No practice after school for full band (I have a Doctor’s app’t. that I can’t re-schedule.

    Guard Sectional from 2-4pm.

Wednesday – Jazz Band Organizational Meeting from 2:05-2:20pm. If you’re not there and we don’t have enough people, there will not be a jazz band this year!

Thursday – Full Band Rehearsal 5-7:30pm

Friday – KHS @ Lk. Gibson…Call Time is 5pm Details announced in a later post!

Announcements:

CHAPERONES-We MUST have one chaperone for every 10 students for every trip we take. As of right now, we are over 50 members so that means we must have 6 APPROVED chaperones. Please contact the boosters to let them know if you are approved and available to chaperone this Friday.

Parents-We appreciate your wanting to come with the band into the games. To get into the games for free, you must either be a chaperone for away games, or a chaperone or to work in the concession stand at Home Games. Please abide by these rules.

FORMS-If your son or daughter does not have their Emergency Medical Form and Blanket Field Trip Form turned in, they cannot attend the game this Friday. Please take care of this if you haven’t…I don’t want to see the look on your son/daughter’s face when I have to tell them they can’t go because of this reason! Each Student MUST have a NOTARIZED emergency medical form and a signed blanket field trip form by their legal parent/guardian.

FINALLY-For all of our leadership parents…please make sure that your students are at the band room 30 minutes before all rehearsals and activities after school. I need their help making sure we are prepared with everything we need for rehearsal.

Schedule for week of 8/06 to 8/10/18

Hello Thrill Seekers! There’s a big week ahead of us! Please make sure you’re at all three rehearsals this week!

I will be at school this week from 6:45am until 3-4pm every day! On the days we have rehearsal, I will obviously be there until we finish!

Monday, August 6th: NO REHEARSAL!
Tuesday, August 7th: 4pm to 7pm FULL BAND
Wednesday, August 8th: NO BAND REHEARSAL! Guard audition clinic and sectional from 9am to 12 noon!
Thursday, August 9th: Guard audition clinic and sectional from 9am to 12 noon! Rehearsal from 3-5:15pm. Band will perform from 5:30 until 6:10. Pack up and go to orientation after all equipment is put away until 7:30pm!
Friday, August 10th: Rehearsal from 2pm to 5:30pm!

Fundraisers: Keep selling that cookie dough! The first thing we will do at rehearsal is do an update on the Cookie Dough sales by team!

For the sponsorships fundraiser, remember that if anyone doesn’t want to buy a tub of cookie dough for $20, ask them if they will consider sponsoring you for $10. Ten $10 sponsors would cover your band fee!

Finally, Don’t forget to get your schedules. DON’T WAIT UNTIL THURSDAY AT ORIENTATION!!! The Guidance Counselors will be swamped. Here are how the Guidance Counselors are assigned:

Leadership: Change of schedule for this Friday, 7/27!

Leadership: We will be starting at 8am, having a leadership clinic and will be done by 12 noon that day…as long as we have everything done! Giving you a heads up, figured we could start early and finish early, plus it gives you a little prep for the Full Band Camp Week!

Band Camp is coming up! Make sure you start spending some time outside walking and getting used to the heat and humidity! Get your instruments to Carlton’s and make sure they know you have to have it back at the latest by Friday, July 27th!
